Alumina
The Procera team has worked exclusively on Procera Crown Alumina restorations
and has the highest scannning success rate of any laboratory. Procera's
technology involves a CAD/CAM die-scanning procedure, utilizing a calculation
of 20,000 to 40,000 data points depending on size. The scanning procedure
renders a custom manufactured coping comprised of densely-sintered aluminum
oxide with incredible strength.
Zirconia
Building on our Procera success is the recently introduced Procera Crown
Zirconia. With twice the flexural strength of the Alumina coping, Zirconia
is ideal for clinical situations that require an all-ceramic restoration
with the maximum strength available. Zirconia also utilizes the same CAD/CAM
die scanning procedures and preparation/cementation techniques as Alumina;
therefore no changes in your methods are necessary.
